The Futility of Understanding
Welcome to the website of Marcus Fellowes
"This is an invitation for you to take another look at what you call 'your life' and see what lies at the heart of 'All Life' that's been overlooked."
LIFE AS IT IS
You're invited to take another look - not at life as you’ve been taught to see it, but at life itself. This isn’t about striving to become something or reaching for what feels out of reach. It’s simply pausing to notice what has always been here, right now, fully present in every moment.
For so many of us, life feels like a story - a “me” navigating a world that seems separate, full of things to manage, improve, or fix. But is this really life? Or is it just a habit of thought - a lens that makes life seem divided and distant? Take a moment to pause and ask: What’s here before the story begins?
At the heart of all life, there is no separation. There’s no “me” apart from life, no “world” outside of you. Life doesn’t belong to anyone - it’s simply happening, whole and complete, just as it is.
What’s being read here, what’s appearing now, isn’t separate from life. It’s not something that can be pinned down or explained - it’s too close for that. There’s no gap, no distance. It’s life, just happening.
Take a moment. Breathe. Let it all be as it is. What remains when there’s nothing to fix, nothing to achieve? What’s here when you stop trying to make life different?
This isn’t something hidden or out of reach. No steps to take, no distance to cross. No puzzle to solve.
Just life, as it is.
LATEST CONTEMPLATION
THERE'S NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT
In this audio contemplation Marcus talks about the concepts of time and the present moment.
He says, "We often hear the phrase “There’s no time like the present” as a call to action, a reminder to get something done now, and not leave it until later on. But what if there’s more to that saying than first meets the eye. What if the reason there’s no time like the present is because there’s no time at all?"
